About the Congress

Sri Lanka's Premier
Annual Research Forum in Science

RESCON 2026 is the premier annual research congress organized by the Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS), University of Peradeniya — Sri Lanka's foremost institution for postgraduate education in the natural sciences.

The PGIS Research Congress is the major annual research conference of the Postgraduate Institute of Science. The congress provides an excellent platform to share knowledge and network with scientists across the country and abroad through the presentation of cutting-edge research.

The Congress will be held on the 24th and 25th of September 2026. The Inauguration Ceremony, together with the keynote speech by a distinguished scientist will be held on the 24th of September before Lunch break.

Technical Sessions of RESCON 2026 will be held on the afternoon of 24th and full day of 25th of September at the PGIS, and international participants will attend online.
