Applications are called for the above one-day workshop organized by the Board of Study in Physics of the Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS) to be held at the PGIS Auditorium.   

The workshop will be focused on:
+ Physics of lightning
+Standards and general precautions against lightning
+ Effects of lightning on structures, electrical/electronic systems & telecommunication systems, and their protection
+ Designing of lightning protection systems (LPS)

This workshop will be highly beneficial to the:
+ engineering and management community of the industrial and construction sector that seek lightning protection
+ scientific community interested in the physics and engineering aspects of lightning protection
+ commercial sector who deal with lightning protection equipment and
+ general public.

Applicants must have passed GCE (A/L) examination in science with Physics as a subject.
